FreeWebsites [new window][broken link] Offers up to 50MB of space, unlimited email addresses, unlimited bandwidth and traffic at your ad supported subdomain.
FreeServers [new window][broken link] Free easy to build websites and 12MB of storage on pages that include an ad banner or pop-ups. This service does not include FTP access.
NetFirms [new window][broken link] Get 25MB webspace, 1 GIG transfer per month, CGI-BIN/Perl support, one email account and Frontpage Extensions on this banner supported service. I'm not sure if I understand their site correctly, but I think you only have 30 days to build your site. Better make it a good one.
GeoCities [new window][broken link] Free homepage service from Yahoo with a WYSIWYG site building program that requires no knowledge of HTML. Nice add-ons and great file upload capabilities but the service is ad supported.
Tripod [new window][broken link] Another nice free website builder and hosting service with no programming necessary from Lycos. A lot of good instruction and teaching, nice features like password protection and 20MB of space but each page will contain ads.
AngelFire [new window][broken link] A free webhosting company affiliated with Lycos and almost exactly the same in services and features as Tripod.
FortuneCity [new window][broken link] They still offer free webhosting for small homepages but don't give many details.
GrowthSpurts [new window][broken link] Track your child's growth and development using a free website, database and graphs. Upload and share photos with your family and friends. Keep your site private using password protection.
