Blogger.com [new window][broken link]  Make your own blog and host it for free. Whip through the easy setup process and have your very own free blog on the Web in minutes. Use pre-made and customizable templates, post pictures and links or just read other peoples' blogs. Don't know what a blog is. Basically, it's an informational website that can be updated from any computer at any time.

Wordpress Blogs [new window][broken link]  A popular free blog service where you set up your own blog in seconds. I've used Wordpress and I highly recommend it. The software is written well with lots of security and flexibility. There are limitations to the free service, but more than enough is offered for most anyone who wants to become the next famous blogger. Maybe the best feature of the Wordpress.com community is free traffic and publicity among fellow bloggers on the site. Why make a blog if nobody reads it. If you are knowledgeable about installing the software on your own server, Wordpress.org is the place to download the software and then go crazy customizing your blog however you choose with hundreds of great add-ons and templates. (Any Country)

Meebo Free Chat [new window][broken link] (NEW) A free instant messaging tool that can be used on sites like Facebook and Wordpress or with existing accounts like Yahoo, Google Talk or MSN.   (Any Country)

Free MySpace Templates [new window][broken link]  Grab as many free templates as you want for your websites or your MySpace pages. Also find flash templates, WordPress themes and MySpace backgrounds. (Any Country)

Add to Bookmarks [new window][broken link]  This is a great free JavaScript from Gideon Marken that you can add to your personal blog or website. It allows visitors to save your website on their favorite social bookmarking site like Blink or Yahoo's MyWeb. (Any Country)

Yahoo 360 [new window][broken link]  A new take on free personal webpages from Yahoo that allows you to share all of your pre-existing Yahoo services like photo-albums and LaunchCast radio stations with friends. Allow only the people you want to see your information or only certain parts of your information. Start a blog and even post messages or photos to it from a mobile phone. (Any Country)

Free Blog at JournalHome.com [new window][broken link]  Provides you journal space on the web for creating, editing, managing, and authoring your weblog or blog. (Any Country)

Google Toolbar [new window][broken link]  Google offers an excellent toolbar that attaches to the top of your web browser (Windows and IE 5.0 or later required). Since Google bought Blogger.com, members of that free service can also post to their personal Blogs with a click on the toolbar or link a weblog to a page being visited. The latest version also contains a pop-up blocker, a form filler, the ability to check the page rank of any site, the ability to highlight search terms on any page and more.

TIP:  What is a Weblog or Blog? Although it may sound like it, a blog is nothing of which to be scared. A blog is a web page that is usually made up of short posts and can be updated from the Web from any computer at any time. A weblog can be about other web sites, personal thoughts, poems, news, ideas or absolutely anything. People "subscribe" to blogs to get instant notification of updates. They can be community based with many people posting comments and information. I think of them as a combination of website, message board and instant messenger.
